Today one of my sons turned 24 so I bought him a pair of wind up teeth

There is a new tunnel under Brisbane City. It is called the Clem7 and it runs for 4.8km under the city and river. They say you can avoid 24 sets of traffic lights in the city by using the tunnel.

I found it interesting this trip that all along the route there were community advisory signs that said things like “Take a Break” or  “Revive and Survive” but as I crossed the border into Queensland I noticed a much more morbid side to the transport department signs. I stayed the night at Narrabri. It is well known for the Australian Observatory and the Cotton Museum but I will remember it for the accommodation. I stayed here last time and I liked my room and had a good stay. I particularly liked the fresh air coming in through the ceiling. This time my fresh air vent was just a great foil lined hole. The bed was a double bunk with an ugly and useless sink jutting into the lower bunk.
